Delaware County: Sheriff's office investigating several reported burglaries

The Delaware County Sheriff's Office responded to several burglary reports in recent weeks.

Property worth $3,600 was reported stolen between 7 p.m. March 14 and 8:20 p.m. March 16 from the garage of a residence in the 10000 block of Southwind Drive in Powell, the sheriff's office said.

The victim said someone broke into the garage and stole a dirt bike, an air compressor and a collection of model cars.

In another burglary, electronics worth $1,250 were reported stolen between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. March 16 from a residence in the 1000 block of Bayridge Drive in Lewis Center, the sheriff's office said.

Stolen were nine XBox games, an XBox controller, a pair of headphones and an iPad tablet computer, according to a report.

In other recent incident reports from the sheriff's office:

* A Pioneer stereo worth $800 was stolen between midnight and 6:30 a.m. March 16 from a car parked outside a residence in the 8100 block of South Old State Road in Lewis Center, the sheriff's office said.

The victim reported someone forced entry and stole the radio, as well as CDs worth $20.

* A Powell man residing in the 100 block of Riverbend Avenue reported someone forged checks to steal $4,700 from his personal bank account between 1 p.m. March 6 and 9 a.m. March 7.

* A Lewis Center woman residing in the 1100 block of Royal Oak Drive said someone used her credit card information to make a fraudulent purchase totaling $308 at 2 p.m. March 12.

* Clothing and food worth $312 were reported stolen at 7:55 p.m. March 13 from a business in the 8800 block of Columbus Pike.

Powell police

A Powell resident of the 8100 block of Millway Loop filed an identity theft report, stating an unknown person fraudulently filed his income taxes between noon and 6:45 p.m. March 25, Powell police reported.

* The back door of a residence in the 200 block of West Olentangy Street was damaged between midnight March 24 and 7:02 p.m. March 25, Powell police reports said.
