Delaware County 4-H Committee, third annual Fore for 4-H Golf Outing, June 23, at Bent Tree Golf Club in Sunbury. The event includes 18 holes of golf, complimentary snacks, goody bag, a silent auction and a Legacy Dinner. In addition, golfers will have the chance to win $25,000 via a Hole In One Contest. Proceeds benefit youth in Delaware County through scholarships, awards and educational materials. AARP Foundation Senior Community Service Employment Program assists unemployed Franklin, Delaware and Licking county workers age 55 and over with securing employment. Wild Ones, 10 a.m. May 11, at the Innis House in Inniswood Metro Park, 940 Hempstead Road, Westerville. The program will be "Growing Up to be a Wild One" with Barbara Kay Velez Barbosa. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for this event. Columbus Wild Ones members will be bringing plants, seeds and materials. Children and adults will be doing hands-on activities for which they should bring a small hand trowel and a pair of gloves. Seeds will be taken home and seedlings can be transplanted plant into their flower beds. Information on creating a Monarch Waystation and how to maintain it to attract butterflies also will be available. Children will receive a free poster.
