Olentangy: Jewelry, more stolen during Powell burglary


Property worth $1,000 was stolen during a burglary between 9 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. April 29 at a residence in the 3800 block of Stoneway Point, Powell police said.

Stolen items include gold jewelry, a vase and plastic storage containers, reports said.

Other recent Powell police reports include:

* A glass door was smashed by an unknown person between 1 and 5 a.m. April 30 at a residence in the 10000 block of Sawmill Parkway, police said.

* A vehicle's driver's-side window was smashed between 7 p.m. April 20 and 6:45 a.m. April 21 while it was parked in the 400 block of Zion Drive, reports said.

Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $100, according to reports.

* Patio furniture worth $7,500 was stolen between 8 p.m. April 24 and 10 a.m. April 25 from outside a business in the 200 block of West Olentangy Street, police said.

Sheriff's reports

The Delaware County Sheriff's Office responded to a pair of burglaries in recent weeks.

Property worth $5,205 was stolen between 4 and 11 p.m. April 8 during a burglary at a residence in the 3800 block of Coral Creek Court in Powell, the sheriff's office said.

Among the items stolen were two digital cameras and a tablet computer, reports said.

A Lewis Center man reported someone broke into his residence and stole his wallet between 7 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. April 16 in the 2200 block of Seton Drive, reports said.

Other recent Delaware County Sheriff's reports include:

* A car stereo worth $600 was stolen between midnight and 7:20 a.m. April 20 from a vehicle parked in the 1100 block of Bayridge Drive in Lewis Center, reports said.

The victim reported someone smashed a window to gain entry, with damages estimated at $400.

* Makeup worth $50 was stolen between 11 p.m. April 1 and 6 a.m. April 17 from a car parked in the 6700 block of Morningside Drive in Lewis Center, the sheriff's office said.

The thief forced entry by breaking out a window, with damages estimated at $100.
