Brewster Lane businesses burglarized
The Delaware County Sheriff's Office is investigating multiple business break-ins in the 9000 block of Brewster Lane in Liberty Township.
Reports said someone smashed through windows to break into a building that houses multiple businesses, then moved among the businesses by breaking through the drywall that separates them.
The burglary took place between 5:30 p.m. Sept. 20 and 9 a.m. Sept. 21.
Nothing was reported missing, but reports listed the estimated damage to walls and windows at $1,500.
In other recent sheriff's reports:
* A trailer parked at a Lewis Center business was reported stolen Sept. 23. Reports said the owner of the business in the 8000 block of Green Meadows Drive told deputies the enclosed trailer, valued at $7,000, was taken between 5:30 p.m. Sept. 20 and 6 p.m. Sept. 23.
* On Sept. 22, thieves targeted an unlocked vehicle parked in the 900 block of Emerson Drive in Powell. The owner, a Columbus resident, reported that between 3:45 and 4:21 p.m. that day, a GPS unit and a wallet containing cash, credit cards and a checkbook were stolen from the vehicle. Reports said the stolen items are worth $1,180.
