Opera Project Columbus will present Gian Carlo Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 8 and 3:30 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Lincoln Theatre, 769 E. Long St.

The production also will feature Ottorino Respighi's Adoration of the Magi as a prelude to the opera.

The show will be fully staged, featuring the OPC Orchestra led by Maestro Alessandro Siciliani performing in the pit of the Lincoln Theatre.

Amahl and the Night Visitors tells of the journey of the Three Kings to visit the Christ child from the point of view of a poor boy and his mother.

The role of Amahl will be sung by two boy sopranos: Luke Peart of London, who sang Amahl in a 2012 production, and Jeremy Hardjono of Powell; they will perform the role one night each. Soprano Jaime Hartzell will reprise her 2012 role as the mother.

The kings will be sung by tenor Pedro Willis Barboza, baritone Adam Cioffari and bass baritone Tommy Petrushka; baritone Jaman Dunn will sing the role of the page.

Tickets will be sold through the CAPA box office and Ticketmaster. For more information on Opera Project Columbus, visit operaprojectcolumbus.org.
