After two seasons, Olentangy Orange High School boys cross country coach Sam Lehman has resigned. Lehman informed Orange athletics director Tony Milano this week.

Lehman took the Orange job in the program's inaugural season of 2008. Before then, he spent 19 seasons at Olentangy.

"It was my idea," Lehman said of his move to Orange in August of 2008. "I had been at Olentangy for 30 years. There was no negative reason to leave, but I teach at Orange Middle School and (the runners on the team) are kids I've had in class."

In what proved to be his final season, the Pioneers finished sixth (148) at the OCC-Capital Division meet, behind champion New Albany (38). They were 10th (256) at the Division I district 1 meet at Watkins Memorial behind Pickerington North (38). Orange did not have a regional qualifier.
