Olentangy Liberty High School senior Brian Johnson signed a letter of intent Feb. 1 to play football at Davidson College in North Carolina.

Last season, the 6-foot-4, 290-pound offensive lineman helped the Patriots finish 6-4 overall and tie Westerville Central and Westerville South for the OCC-Cardinal Division championship at 5-2.

Johnson was named first-team all-league and second-team all-district in Division I.

Davidson, which is located about 20 minutes north of Charlotte, competes in the Football Championship Subdivision, formerly known as Division I-AA.
