Five Liberty players make college decisions
Five members of the Olentangy Liberty High School football team have announced their college choices.
Defensive back Ryan Seibert (Kent State) and linebacker Austin Mullins (Dayton) signed letters of intent Feb. 6. Quarterback Joey Longhino committed to Otterbein, offensive lineman Zack Shank committed to Dartmouth and kicker Sam Vucelich will be a preferred walk-on at Toledo.
Liberty finished 7-3 overall last fall and tied Upper Arlington for third in the OCC-Central Division at 5-2.
Longhino completed 156 of 226 passes for a program-record 2,214 yards with 16 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He was named special mention all-district in Division I and first-team all-league.
A two-year starter, he finished his career with a program-record 4,095 yards passing.
Shank, who was honorable mention all-district and second-team all-league, was part of a spread offense that averaged 34.1 points per game last season. Vucelich was second-team all-league.
Mullins, who was special mention all-league, helped anchor a defense that was hampered by injuries for much of the season. An injury kept Seibert out last season.
