The Olentangy Orange High School girls tennis team will be represented in the Division I district tournament by a pair of doubles teams.
Senior Anna Sanford and freshman Alle Sanford defeated their teammates, senior Madison Wolfe and junior Jessica Phelps, 6-1, 6-0 in the Hilliard Davidson sectional final Oct. 7.
The top four finishers in singles and doubles qualified for district Friday, Oct. 11, and Saturday, Oct. 12, at Davidson, where the top four in singles and doubles advance to state Oct. 18 at Ohio State and Oct. 19 at Davidson.
Because of the all-Orange pairing, the sectional final was held at Orange rather than Davidson. The sectional began Oct. 3 and was scheduled to conclude Oct. 5, but rain delayed the finish.
In singles, sophomore Sruti Chigurupati went 1-1 and sophomore Carly Vroom and freshman Mary Damko both lost in the first round. Damko was playing for junior Madison Riley, who was injured.

Liberty qualified three of its five sectional entries for district, although rain Oct. 5 forced placement matches at Reynoldsburg to be rescheduled for Oct. 8.

Meyer defeated New Albany's Carol Vitellas 7-5, 6-4 in a semifinal after beating Vitellas' sister, Christina, 6-1, 6-0 in the second round and Canal Winchester's Madeline Niceswanger 6-1, 6-0 in a district-qualifying match.
The doubles teams of Sonia Chhabria and Lizzie Radkiewicz and Avivah Wang and Sidney Reineke both qualified for district.
Chhabria and Radkiewicz lost to top-seeded Jane Haffer and Alex Cash of New Albany 6-1, 6-1 in a semifinal. In the other semifinal, Wang and Reineke trailed New Albany's Sydney Setnar and Alyssa Seneviratne 6-2, 4-0 when play was suspended.

Brdicka will be Olentangy's lone representative at district. She defeated Dublin Coffman's Krissi Tzagournis 6-2, 6-2 in a semifinal after beating Coffman's Skylar Moore 6-4, 6-1 in a district-qualifying match.
