Ohio University's board of trustees recently appointed Pickerington city manager Tim Hansley to a two-year term on the Lancaster Campus Coordinating Council.

Ohio University's board of trustees recently appointed Pickerington city manager Tim Hansley to a two-year term on the Lancaster Campus Coordinating Council.

Hansley joined the Pickerington city administration in 2006 as director of development and was appointed city manager in 2008.

He previously served as city manager for Beavercreek, Conneaut, Dublin, Lebanon and Tipp City. Hansley also worked as a management analyst for the city of Cincinnati and as director of finance for Westerville.

Hansley earned a bachelor's degree in public administration from Capital University and a master's degree, also in public administration, from the University of Oklahoma.

He will attend his first council meeting in October.

The Fairfield County Board of Elections is in need of poll workers for the general election, to be held Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Workers will be paid for attending a training session and for working on election day.
