A Columbus man pleaded not guilty Monday, March 29, to a felony burglary charge in Fairfield County Common Pleas Court in connection with an incident at a Busey Road home.

Fairfield County Sheriff's Deputy Stephanie Russell arrested Brandon White, 18, and a 17-year-old Reynoldsburg boy on March 26.

White was released from the Fairfield County jail Monday afternoon on $10,000 bond.

According to sheriff's reports, a Busey Road resident reported seeing a silver car leave her driveway on March 26, soon after discovering that a laptop computer, a Wii video-gaming system, jewelry and about $80 and cash were missing from her home.

A short time later, Russell stopped White's vehicle after concluding it matched the description provided by the resident.

According to the incident report, entry to the Busey Road home was gained by forcing open a window next to the garage.

Fairfield County Sheriff Dave Phalen said the juvenile was returned to his parents on March 26, but is expected to be charged criminally in Fairfield County Juvenile Court.

"We anticipate there will be additional charges for these guys," Phalen said. "We think we're going to link them to several burglaries in that area."
