The Pickerington Board of Education approved two-year contracts Tuesday for more than 20 administrative employees.

Twenty-five administrative employees ranging from communications personnel and special-education coordinators to building principals and the assistant superintendent were granted two-year contracts during a special meeting of the board of education on Tuesday morning.

The board approved the contracts during a single, unanimous vote and without discussion. The contracts are effective for school years 2010-11 and 2011-12.

District officials provided salary information for only the 2010-11 school year as of ThisWeek's press time on Tuesday.

District treasurer Dan Griscom said Superintendent Karen Mantia "is proposing a zero-percent base salary increase" for administrators in 2010-11.

"Many of the salaries remain the same from 2009-10 to 2010-11," he said. "Those salaries that show increases are due to experience increases in the salary schedule."
