The Pickerington Board of Education has scheduled a special meeting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, to deal with a long list of agenda items, including the possible appointments of an interim superintendent and assistant superintendent.

Superintendent Karen Mantia will leave the district Aug. 1 to become superintendent of the Lakota school district near Cincinnati.

According to a press release issued at 7:20 a.m. today, June 27, from district communications director Lee Cole, the agenda also includes:

Action on a two-year agreement with the Pickerington Education Association.

Action on wages and insurance benefits for support staff.

Action on employment contracts, employee resignations and retirements, contract adjustments and addendums, and other personnel items.

Action on fiscal year 2011 final appropriation measure.

Action on fiscal year 2012 temporary appropriation measure.

Action on the Pickerington Public Library tax budget for 2012.

Action on early student graduation requests.

Action on construction-related contracts.

Action on a transportation regulation.

Action on revisions to board policies.

Action on a special education contract with the Fairfield County Educational Service Center.
