The Pickerington Local School District will say farewell to its graduating seniors June 2 with two ceremonies in World Harvest Church.

The Pickerington Local School District will say farewell to its graduating seniors June 2 with two ceremonies in World Harvest Church.

Commencement for Pickerington High School North is slated to begin at 9 a.m. in World Harvest Church, 4595 Gender Road, Canal Winchester.

Those festivities will be followed by Pickerington High School Central's graduation, scheduled for 1 p.m. June 2, also at the church.

According to district officials, there are 441 students in North's class of 2012.

Central has 436 students in its senior class this school year.

As has become tradition, district officials also have recognized the "Top 10" students in the graduating classes of the respective high schools.

Although the district does not publicize individual academic records, the Decem Decori designation is given to the 10 students at each high school who have the highest grade-point average.

At North, the Decem Decori is:

* Matthew Bardales, who plans to pursue a career in physician assistance at Seton Hall University.

* Patrick Combs, who is considering Miami University, the University of Kentucky and Ohio State University, where he expects to major in mechanical engineering.

* Thomas Dutton, who will attend OSU and major in mathematics while pursuing a minor in music.

* Janelle Holmes, who will attend Howard University and is undecided on a major.

* Jordan Kibler, who will attend Denison University and study chemistry.

* Siyu Liu, who will attend the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and study business and economics.

* Vinayak Portonovo, who will attend Cornell University and study architecture.

* Anthony Varda, who will attend OSU and study civil engineering.

* Jonathan VanCourt, who will attend OSU and study mechanical engineering.

* Michael Van Fossen, who will attend OSU and study mechanical engineering.

Central's Decem Decori is:

* Cathie Cho, who will attend OSU and study nutrition science/pre-medicine.

* Sarah Gordon, who will attend Vanderbilt University and study biology/pre-medicine.

* Ryan Knight, who will attend OSU and study biomedical engineering.

* Sanjeev Kolli, who will attend Cornell University and study material science engineering.

* Michael Morris, who is considering Princeton and Duke universities and OSU, and intends to study political science and economics.

* Mayuran Ravindran, who will attend OSU and study biomedical sciences with a pre-medicine intent.

* Sydney Schnulo, who will attend Purdue University and study aeronautical engineering.

* Emily Sharrett, who will attend Miami University and study English literature.

* Jasmine Singh, who will attend the University of Akron and study integrated biological sciences/pre-medicine.

* Kara Wellman, who will attend Kent State University and study visual communication design with an illustration concentration.
