The PCMA Food Pantry of Pickerington is teaming up with the Pickerington Parks and Recreation Department to host "Breakfast with the Bunny" Saturday, March 30, at the Pickerington High School Central Commons, 300 Opportunity Way.
The event will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Tickets cost $6 per person and will be sold through Thursday, March 28, at Pickerington City Hall, 100 Lockville Road. Children ages 2 and younger will be admitted free.
"Breakfast with the Bunny" has been a Pickerington tradition since 1999, but this is the first year the PCMA Food Pantry has been a co-host.
Director Molly Colyer said those who attend will be able to enjoy a hearty breakfast as well as participate in "multiple craft projects, doughnut decorating, story time corner and, of course, a picture with the bunny."
"Attendees are welcome to bring canned goods to donate to the food pantry," she said.
Steve Paullin of the Pickerington Parks and Recreation Department advised those who pay for tickets by check to make their checks payable to the Pickerington Food Pantry.
"It all goes to a good cause," he said. "It all goes to the food pantry."
He said the Parks and Recreation Department has helped put on the event since its inception.
"It has been going on for quite a while," he said.
Paullin said last year there was a photographer on hand to take pictures, but he wasn't sure if that will be the case this year.
"Feel free to bring your own cameras," he said.
