Events and programs

Pickerington Community Theatre, children's theater workshop, 9 a.m. to noon April 13 at Pickerington Christian Church, 575 Diley Road. Children in grades 3-6 will learn how to audition for a show (song selection, cold readings), improv exercises and some theater basics. Pickerington Community Chorus, performance at 10 a.m. April 20 as part of the Pickerington Arbor Day celebration, at the covered bridge at Sycamore Creek Park on Lockville Road. The group also is planning a fundraiser from 4 to 10 p.m. April 15 at the Pizza Cottage on Old Diley Road. Those who have vouchers can have 15 percent of their food purchases for eating in or carryout donated to the group. Vouchers will be available at Kroger on Refugee Road and Hill Road and Giant Eagle on Refugee Road.

Violet Township Women's League Annual Style Show and Luncheon, 11 a.m. April 27 at Berwick Manor Party House, 3250 Refugee Road. Candice Lee will be the guest speaker and will describe the clothing styles provided by JCPenneys and worn by VTWL members or friends. Tickets are $25 and must be purchased from VTWL members prior to the show. Raffle tickets for gift baskets/donations can be purchased prior to the show or can be purchased at the door.This annual event raises money to present a $2,000 scholarship to three local seniors planning to attend college in the fall. TWIG 165 Quarter Auction, 2 to 4 p.m. April 27 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1200 Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. so guests may purchase paddles, visit the direct sellers and view the auction items. Paddles are one number for $3 and three numbers for $5. Items to be auctioned are from various local businesses, direct sellers, home-based businesses and items donated by members of TWIG 165. Refreshments will be served.
