Central, North graduations planned June 1

Commencement ceremonies for classes of 2013 to be held June 1 in World Harvest Church

More than 800 students from Pickerington's two high schools will be recognized June 1 when the district and community bid farewell to the respective classes of 2013.

The Pickerington Local School District will host graduation ceremonies for both Pickerington High School Central and Pickerington High School North June 1 at World Harvest Church, 4595 Gender Road, Canal Winchester.

Central's commencement ceremony is slated to begin at 9 a.m. at the church.

According to district officials, approximately 367 Central students will be recognized for obtaining their high school diplomas.

North will hold its graduation ceremony in World Harvest Church at 1 p.m.

District officials said approximately 443 students will receive diplomas as part of the Panthers' class of 2013.

During both ceremonies, the respective graduating classes Decem Decori will be recognized.

The designation is given to the 10 students at each high school who have the highest cumulative grade-point average.
