Pickerington Senior Center Summer Music Series, 7 to 9 p.m. June 27, at the center, 150 Hereford Drive. A baked potato-salad bar, along with pie or cake and coffee or iced tea, will be available at 5:30 p.m. The Diamond Brothers with Jonny Pond will perform. New Beginnings Baptist Church, God and Country Celebration, 10:30 a.m. June 30, at the church, 4888 Refugee Road NW, Baltimore. The program will include patriotic music and a meal following the morning service. Attendees are asked to wear red, white and blue. For reservations, call 740-862-2821.

Pickerington Independence Day Celebration, July 4, in Victory Park. A number of children's rides and a variety of food and refreshment booths open at 4 p.m. The annual parade, with more than 100 entrants, travels Lockville Road, Columbus Street and Hill Road at 6 p.m., followed by ceremonies in the park at 7:30 p.m. Entertainment is featured, leading up to a fireworks display at 10 p.m.

Classes and workshops

Seton Parish, adoption information seminar, noon to 2:30 p.m. June 29, in its Herrmann Hall, main church building, at 600 Hill Road N. Topics include the legal aspects of adoption, economic impact on families and the adoption process. Anyone interested in adoption is invited. For information, call 614-833-0482.

Young Moms Support Group, 6 to 8 p.m. June 28 at Pickerington Christian Church, 575 Diley Road. This program provides practical and emotional support for young and new moms. Children are welcome.
