The July 4th Celebration is scheduled to take place today, Thursday, July 4, the parade begins at 6 p.m.
This year's parade grand marshal is the PCMA and Pickerington Food Pantry.
The parade will also feature Abigail Hall, who will be performing the National Anthem during opening ceremonies.
The parade route is: East on Opportunity Way, North on Lockville Road, West on Columbus Street, South on Hill Road and stopping at Ridgeview Junior High School.
The streets affected will be closed from 5:30 p.m. until the end of the parade. The rest of the festivities take place in Victory Park and include:
* 7:30 p.m. -- Opening ceremonies.
* 8 p.m. -- Main stage, Reaganomics.
* 10 p.m. -- Fireworks, Co-Sponsored by the city of Pickerington and Violet Township.
* 10:30 p.m. -- Main stage, Reaganomics.
* 11 p.m. -- Park closes.
Season passes and punch passes are still available for purchase.

New season pass-holders will receive a photo ID the first day they visit the pool. 2012 season pass-holders can reactivate past photo ID.
The second session of Swim Lessons will be starting July 8. Limited spaces are available so be sure to register before they all fill up.
The only requirements your child must meet for lessons is they must be 3 years old and potty trained.
Which level they are in is up to their personal skill and abilities.

The Pickerington Community Pool will be hosting special events during the remainder of the season, including Adult Night July 19, Family Luau Night Aug. 16, and Dog Splash Sept. 2.

Friday Night Flicks
No movies will be shown this week because of the July 4th holiday. The movies will continue July 12 with a showing of Hotel Transylvania.
Summer Concert Series
During the July 4th Celebration, Reaganomics will be performing in Victory Park.
There will be no concert Sunday, July 7. The series will continue July 14 with Chris Logsden.
The shelters at Sycamore Park and Victory Park are available to be rented for parties, picnics and any other event you might host this summer.
Rental forms are available online, and at the Parks and Recreation Department, 100 Lockville Road.
