Pickerington Community Chorus, looking for singers to join fall rehearsals, 7 to 8:15 p.m. Tuesdays at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 268 Hill Road N. in Pickerington. This year the chorus will be performing the Christmas portion of Handel's Messiah on Dec. 7. There are no auditions and participants do not need to be a resident of Pickerington to join. Joseph's Coat of Central Ohio, spaghetti dinner and silent auction, 5:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 5, in the cafeteria at St. Pius X School, 1051 Waggoner Road in Reynoldsburg. Sponsored by the Mount Carmel Foundation, this event raises money to help Joseph's Coat and its mission of helping individuals and families in need by providing free clothing, furniture, and household items. Element Winter Guards, informational meeting, 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 13, at the Pickerington Public Library, 201 Opportunity Way. This organization teaches participants ages 5 to 23 years of age how to spin flags. The group is looking for members for the upcoming 2014 season, which includes competitions on Saturdays from January to March. Practice is held on Sunday afternoons.
