The Pickerington Lions Club will hold a Membership Open House at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Best Western meeting room, 1899 Winderly Lane (by La Fogata).
Desserts, coffee and other beverages will be served. The public is invited, and there is no cost to attend.
The purpose of the event is to inform the public about what the Lions Club is and what it does for the community. Refreshments will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m., and a short program will begin at 7 p.m.
There will be speakers from various organizations and they will discuss how Lions have helped make a positive difference. Other informational materials will be available.
The Pickerington Lions Club was founded in 1946 and is a part of Lions International, the largest service organization in the world. Its main focus is to help find a cure for the many causes of blindness and to support those with sight-impairment problems.
