Fall class are open for registration, and they're filling up fast.

Enroll today for some of our upcoming classes. The full class listing is available online at www.pickerington.net.

Registration is available online, in person, by mail, drop box at City Hall or by fax. The Parks and Recreation Department accepts cash, checks made payable to the City of Pickerington and Visa and MasterCard.

 

Adult sports leagues

Applications for the Sunday Co-Rec Volleyball League and the Sunday Men's Basketball League are available and posted online.

The team fee of $250 for volleyball and $475 for basketball is required when submitting application. The application deadline is Friday, Nov. 1.

Both leagues are scheduled to play on Sunday afternoons at the Pickerington High School Central Field House beginning Dec. 1.

Instructors

Do you have a special interest or talent that you would like to share with others by teaching a class for the Pickerington Parks and Recreation Department?

We are always looking for instructors that can teach exciting new programs to the community. Your class could be featured in our 2014 Winter Program Guide, which covers the months of January through April.

Halloween events

Haunted Village is returning. Come out to the Olde Pickerington Village on from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30.

The whole family can enjoy Hayrides, Ghost Tours, Ghost Stories, Haunted Museum, Haunted House, Haunted Garden, live music and trick-or-treating through the Olde Pickerington Village.

 

Trick-or-treat

City Hall is getting spooky.

Children ages 2 through 5, accompanied by an adult, are welcome to tour through the friendly decorated City Hall for Tots Trick or Treat from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31.

Community wide trick or treat will also take place Thursday, Oct. 31, between 6 and 8 p.m. throughout the Pickerington community.

 

Facility rentals

The shelters in Sycamore and Victory parks are available to be rented for parties, picnics and any other event until the end of this month.

Facility Rental forms are available online, and at the Parks and Recreation Department, 100 Lockville Road.

Reservations are completed by submitting a facility rental form with full payment.

Call the Parks and Recreation Department at 614-833-2211 for more information about renting a shelter.

 

Community gardens

To all of the community gardeners, please remove all items from the garden area by Oct. 31, so we can till the gardens for next season.

This includes fences, steaks, plastic, tools and any other material.

Remember that you can donate any excess produce to the Pickerington Food Pantry.
