Adult sports

Applications for the Sunday Co-Rec Volleyball League and the Sunday Men's Basketball League are available and posted online.

The team fee of $250 for volleyball and $475 for basketball is required when submitting the application.

The application deadline is Friday, Nov. 1.

Both leagues are scheduled to play on Sunday afternoons in the Pickerington High School Central Field House beginning Dec. 1.

Do you want to play but don't have a team? The Parks and Recreation Department maintains a free agent list.

Community gardens

All of those who had community garden plots are reminded to please remove all items from the garden area by Thursday, Oct. 31, so we can till the gardens for next season.

This includes fences, stakes, plastic, tools and any other material. You can donate any excess produce to the Pickerington Food Pantry.

Fall programs

Fall classes are open for registration, and they're filling up fast.

Enroll today for some of our upcoming classes. The full class listing is available online at www.pickerington.net.

Registration is available online, in person, by mail, drop box at City Hall or by fax.

The Parks and Recreation Department accepts cash, checks made payable to the city of Pickerington, Visa and MasterCard.


Do you have a special interest or talent that you would like to share with others by teaching a class for the Pickerington Parks and Recreation Department?

We are always looking for instructors that can teach exciting new programs to the community.

Your class could be featured in our 2014 Winter Program Guide, which covers the months of January through April.

Facility rentals

The shelters in Sycamore Park and Victory Park are available to be rented for parties, picnics and any other event until the end of this month.

Facility Rental forms are available online, and at the Parks and Recreation Department, 100 Lockville Road.

Reservations can be completed by submitting a facility rental form with full payment.
