Making Marks

The 2014 Central Ohio Regional Scholastic Arts Awards exhibition is open through Feb. 1 at Columbus College of Art & Design's Canzani Center Gallery.

Artists in grades seven through 12 submitted 1,006 individual pieces and portfolios, and 457 of which were selected by judges for the final exhibition, including photographs, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry and digital art.

Pickerington students who received recognition include:

Pickerington High School Central -- Rebecca Mardis, one Silver Key award and two honorable mentions; Brooke Stanley, one Silver Key award and one honorable mention; Abigail Garrison, one Silver Key; Amber Trowbridge, two honorable mentions; Chloe Easterling, Lindsay Holday, Leah Krueger, Darrin Mosley and Alex Waibel, one honorable mention each.

Pickerington North High School North -- Caroline Giardina, honorable mention.

CCAD's Canzani Center Gallery is located at Cleveland Avenue and East Gay Street in downtown Columbus. The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The gallery is closed on Mondays. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
