The Pickerington Local School District will host two community forums this month to gather input regarding its search for a new superintendent.
District officials announced this week they will provide an opportunity for community members to meet with a superintendent search consultant from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19 in the Lecture Hall at Pickerington High School North.
Another forum with consultants will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25 in the Commons at Pickerington High School Central.
Both sessions are designed to last approximately one hour and will allow the public to provide input about qualities and skills the district’s next superintendent should possess.
In a press release, district officials said they were seeking the public’s input early in the process to identify the values, skills and experience the Pickerington School Board will be looking for in the new superintendent.
The forums were slated after current Superintendent Rob Walker announced Feb. 10 he will retire Aug. 1 to focus on his health and family.
