Pickerington: Woman reports $4,500 in financial accounts fraud

Pickerington police received a report April 29 from a woman in the 400 block of Vanderbuilt Street who said someone stole two credit cards and had used her checking account to fraudulently obtained $4,500.

Reports said the woman's son is a suspect in the incidents and she wishes to pursue criminal charges.

In other recent Pickerington police reports:

• A burglary was reported in the 600 block of Preston Trails Drive at 2:02 p.m. April 16.

The homeowner told police several items had been stolen from the residence while the homeowner was out of town.

• A Pickerington woman, 21, and a man, 26, were arrested for theft at a 10:30 p.m. April 16 at a business in the 100 block of Postage Drive.

Reports said they were issued no trespass orders and given dates to appear in Pickerington Mayor's Court after they concealed items and attempted to leave the store without paying for them.

• A Coach purse was reported stolen at 12:51 p.m. April 19 from a vehicle parked in the lot of a business in the 1800 block of Winderly Lane.

A window in the vehicle was broken in order to steal the purse.

• Several thefts from vehicles were reported at 7:26 a.m. April 22 in the 11000 block of Bridgewater Street.

• A 17-year-old Canal Winchester girl was charged with theft at 4:35 p.m. April 22 after stealing $266.98 worth of merchandise from a business in the 100 block of Postage Drive.

• A 23-year-old Canal Winchester woman was charged with theft at 9:06 p.m. April 22 after stealing $28.96 worth of merchandise from a business in the 100 block of Postage Drive.

• A 22-year-old Galloway man was cited for theft at 3:50 p.m. April 24 after concealing items and leaving a business in the 100 block of Postage Drive without paying.

The items were recovered and the man was given a court date in Pickerington Mayor's Court.

• A 47-year-old Columbus woman was issued a citation for theft at 2:01 p.m. April 24 after concealing items and leaving a business in the 100 block of Postage Drive without offering payment.

The woman was given a mandatory court date in Pickerington Mayor's Court.

• A 40-year-old Pickerington woman was issued a citation for theft at 5:27 p.m. April 25 and issued a no trespass order after concealing items and leaving a business in the 100 block of Postage Drive without making payment.

The woman was given a court date in Pickerington Mayor's Court.

• Three people were arrested after an incident at 10:35 p.m. April 25 at a business in the 100 block of Postage Drive.

A 22-year-old Whitehall man was cited with possession of drug abuse paraphernalia.

Two Grove City women, ages 21 and 22, were issued citations for theft after leaving the business without paying for the merchandise.

All three were issued citations and ordered to appear in Pickerington Mayor's Court.

• Officers received a report at 7:30 p.m. April 27 that a woman drove her car into a garage door in the 100 block of Lookout Lane and then drove away.

Reports said photos were taken of the damaged garage door and a report generated for documentation.

• The passenger door window of a vehicle was broken and a gym bag stolen at 2:45 p.m. April 28 in the 800 block of Windmiller Drive.

• The driver-side window of a vehicle was broken and tools stolen at 12:40 a.m. April 29 in the lot of a business in the 1000 block of Hill Road.
