Daily admission is coming to the Pickerington Community Pool. You don't need a season pass, or need to be accompanied by a season pass holder. Anyone can visit the pool for only $8!

It's also not too late to get your season passes for the Pickerington Community Pool.

The pool is open daily from noon to 8 p.m.

Passes can be purchased at the Pool, or the Parks and Recreation Department.

You're invited to a luau at the Pool from 6 to 9 p.m. July 18.

Bring a dish to share, and your appetite for the potluck dinner. Bring out the whole family.

Even if you don't have a Season Pass, you can still join the fun for only $8 per person.

Classes

All summer long the Parks and Recreation Department will be offering camps, classes, activities and events for all ages.

We offer flag football, cheerleading, soccer, tennis and golf for the young athletes.

We have Art Adventures, youth drawing, cooking classes at Cold Stone, Summer Math Fun, and beginner Irish step-dancing.

Find us online at www.pickerington.net or stop by the Parks and Recreation Department at 100 Lockville Road. Register online, in person, by mail, fax in or use the drop box outside City Hall.

Fishing derby

Have you signed up for the 2014 Youth Fishing Derby? Kids 14 years old and younger can participate for free in the event planned from 9:30 to 11 a.m. July 26.

Registration is required, and can be performed online at www.pickerington.net, or at City Hall, 100 Lockville Road.

Age group awards will be given for most fish and biggest fish caught.

Hurry up and sign-up now. Bring your own fishing pole and bait to reel in as many fish as you can!

Friday Night Flicks

Friday night means movie night in Pickerington.

Come out to Sycamore Park Friday, July 11, for a night that will be fun for the whole family.

The Pickerington Parks and Recreation Department be showing Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, presented by Fairfield Federal.

Enjoy some food courtesy of Violet Baptist Church and Primrose of Pickerington. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket as we project a movie on the barn near the amphitheater, starting at dusk.

Concert series

Come enjoy an evening of music in the park. This week we are happy to bring back the Floorwalkers to the Summer Concert Series again this year.

Join us at the Sycamore Park Amphitheater at 7 p.m., Sunday, July 13, with a lawn chair or a blanket, and enjoy the show.

Be sure to enjoy a snow cone while enjoying some great tunes.
