A Canal Winchester couple were each charged with child endangering Dec. 18 after Pickerington police said they left a young child unattended in a vehicle while they were inside a business in the 1000 block of Hill Road.

A Canal Winchester couple were each charged with child endangering Dec. 18 after Pickerington police said they left a young child unattended in a vehicle while they were inside a business in the 1000 block of Hill Road.

Reports said the 62-year-old man and the 50-year-old woman left the child -- no age was listed in the report -- alone for 45 minutes in the vehicle without the engine or heater running when the outside temperature was 26 degrees.

In other recent Pickerington Division of Police incident reports:

* Representatives of a business in the 1000 block of Hill Road reported at 10 a.m. Dec. 14 several purchases had been made by a man who used a forged credit card.

* A 23-year-old Columbus woman was arrested at 3:35 p.m. Dec. 14 and charged with theft from a business in the 100 block of Postage Drive.

Reports said the woman was issued a summons for a mandatory appearance in Fairfield Municipal Court.

* A 25-year-old Columbus man who was driving the vehicle in which the woman was riding as she left the business was charged with driving with a suspended license.

* A 29-year-old Reynoldsburg man was issued a citation for theft at 5:03 a.m. Dec. 15 after stealing merchandise from a business in the 1100 block of Hill Road.

* Police are investigating an incident in which a 22-year-old woman attempted to fill a fraudulent prescription at 8:08 a.m. Dec. 15 at a business in the 1100 block of Hill Road.

* Representatives of a business in the 900 block of Hill Road North reported at 3:31 p.m. Dec. 15 a fraudulent charge was made on a customer's credit card.

* A 37-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, both from Marysville, were charged with theft from a business in the 100 block of Postage Drive at 11:34 p.m. Dec. 15.

Reports said the man and woman were also arrested on warrants filed in Pickaway County and Grove City.

* Officers responded at 8:02 p.m. Dec. 16 to several reports of vehicle break-ins at a business in the 2000 block of Yarmouth Drive.

* Representatives of a business in the 1100 block of Hill Road reported at 9:45 p.m. Dec. 18 that a male stole two large boxes of diapers and then fled.

* A patron of a business in the 1100 block of Hill Road reported at 9:45 p.m. Dec. 18 the passenger side window of her vehicle was broken and her purse containing her debit card, social security card and driver's license was stolen.

* Officers investigating a report of a fight at 10:40 p.m. Dec. 18 at Brighton Street and Herrogate Square arrested a 31-year-old Pickerington man for traffic violations and driving with a suspended license.

Reports said when officers arrived at the scene of the reported fight they found no combatants but stopped a vehicle that was leaving the area at a high rate of speed and failing to stop at posted stop signs.

They issued the traffic violations to the Pickerington man and then arrested him on a warrant filed by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The man was released into the custody of a state Trooper.

* Officers responded with Violet Township Fire Department paramedics on a report of a female that appeared to be passed out and intoxicated in the 1500 block of Stonecreek Drive at 7:01 p.m. Dec. 19.

Reports said the woman's brother took her home and her vehicle was secured in the parking lot of a business.

* The owners of several vehicles parked in the 1100 block of Hill Road reported at 6:36 p.m. Dec. 20 windows in their vehicles were broken and items stolen.
