Eight Pickerington High School Central seniors signed letters of intent Feb. 1 to play football at the college level, including three who will be attending Division I schools in Jacoby Boren (Ohio State), Jake Kincaid (Kent State) and Sebastian Smith (Ohio University).

Boren was first-team all-OCC-Ohio Division, all-district and all-state last season for the Tigers, who finished 11-3 after losing to Cleveland St. Ignatius 34-13 in the Division I state final Dec. 3 at Fawcett Stadium in Canton. Boren started on the offensive and defensive lines.

Kincaid, a linebacker, was first-team all-league and second-team all-district, and Smith, a safety, was special mention all-league and honorable mention all-district.

Signing with Football Championship Subdivision programs (formerly Division I-AA) were defensive back and running back Adam Clopton (Duquesne) and wide receiver and place-kicker Jake Raymond (Morehead State).

Raymond was second-team all-league and special mention all-district.

Signing with Division II programs were defensive lineman Adam Cole (Edinboro), safety and running back Billy Eakins (Ohio Dominican) and offensive lineman Nick Wilson (Fairmont State).

Wilson was first-team all-league and second-team all-district, and Eakins, who rushed for 960 yards and 13 touchdowns on 149 carries, was first-team all-league and special mention all-district.

“It’s exciting to see these guys get the opportunity to play at the next level,” Central coach Jay Sharrett said.
