Kyle Casserly of the Pickerington High School Central baseball team signed a letter of intent to play at West Virginia.
A 6-foot-3, 190-pound pitcher, first baseman and outfielder, Casserly batted a team-high .465 with two home runs and 30 RBI last year as the Tigers went 19-8 overall and 10-4 in the OCC-Ohio Division.
Casserly’s 47 hits were a single-season record for the program.
He also was 3-2 with a 3.00 ERA in 16 1/3 innings. He was named first-team all-league and all-district in Division I.
