Reynoldsburg City Council approved legislation Tuesday, Feb. 22, to allocate $9,000 for engineering services needed for the 2011 street program.

Service director Jim Miller said work on 10 streets will include milling, paving, crack sealing, micro-surfacing and replacing and repairing curbs.

"It's pretty much the same kind of work on streets every year, except my budget this year is $500,000," he said. "Last year was $1-million, so I'm putting together a base bid of a $500,000 street program."

He said if bids come in lower than $500,000, he may add additional streets to the list.

Miller said he expects traffic to be maintained both ways once work begins in May. It should be finished sometime in October or November, he said.

This year's street program includes:

Rodebaugh Road from Waggoner Road to Firstgate Drive.

Firstgate Drive from Taylor Road to Summit Road.

Bartlett Road from Haft Drive to Rosehill Road.

Retton Road from Haft Drive to Stouder Drive.

Taylor Road from Kingsley Drive to the Kroger grocery store on East Main Street.

Slate Ridge Boulevard from the county line to the east end of the boulevard.

Daugherty Drive from Civic Park to Lancaster Avenue.

Tanya Terrace from Rosehill Road to Briarcliff Drive.

Priestley Drive from Waggoner Road to Ruskin Drive.

Stonetrail Way from Lancaster Avenue to the Lancaster Avenue loop.
