A group of Waggoner Road Junior High School students took a trip to Europe in March, visiting many of the ancient sites they learned about in class.

Lauraine Camm, seventh- and eighth-grade history teacher, organized the trip through Explorica with the help of paraprofessional Pam Hertenstein.

Nine students made the trip, along with five other adults.

Some of the ancient sites students visited in Italy included the Colosseum in Rome, Vatican City, Pompeii and Sorrento. In Greece, the group toured Olympia, Mycenae, the Parthenon and the Acropolis.
