Lancaster Avenue to remail closed after gas-line rupture
Lancaster Avenue in Reynoldsburg is expected to remain closed from Main to French streets until late this evening while crews from Columbia Gas work to repair a ruptured gas line.
According to a press release from Mayor Brad McCloud’s office, workers from Columbus Asphalt hit the line at about 2 p.m. today, Aug. 28, while working on a repaving project on Lancaster Avenue.
"Columbia Gas is on the scene and so is our city engineer,” said Sandra Boller from the mayor’s office. “The gas-line break was close to the Happy Dragon restaurant."
