A section of Lancaster Avenue, from East Main Street to Broad Alley in Reynoldsburg, will be partly blocked Tuesday, Sept. 24, during an auction of Connell Hardware’s remaining inventory.
The auction is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Connell Hardware, 7345 E. Main St. The family-owned business closed at the end of August.
Two Reynoldsburg police officers are expected to be on duty to handle any traffic issues.
Auctioneer Michael Hoffman said all items in the store would be up for sale.
“We have found even more antiques than what any of us ever thought were there,” he said. “We have found stuff stuck in all kinds of nooks and crannies.”
Connell Hardware was open 141 years in Reynoldsburg.
Charity Connell said photos of the items up for auction have been posted online at spiffyauctions.com.
The list includes new tools, antique tools, shelves, hardware, plumbing and electrical supplies, scales, antique crocks, a rolltop desk and the store’s potbelly stove.
Hoffman said he has invited Mayor Brad McCloud to the auction.
