Rinkov Eyecare Centers, an independently-owned eye care company with centers in downtown and west Columbus, Reynoldsburg, Westerville and Dublin, has acquired Rosenthal Vision Center, effective Sept. 1.
Dr. Richard Rosenthal will continue to practice at his two Rosenthal Vision Center locations in Bexley and Nationwide Plaza.
This marks Rinkov's first acquisition since opening its doors. The company plans to actively pursue top-quality optometry practices, with a goal to have 10 to 15 locations in the greater Columbus area over the next two to five years.
Rinkov Eyecare Centers will invest in Rosenthal's locations by providing staff training, office renovations, new diagnostic equipment and technology upgrades that will allow treatment of more primary medical eye conditions.
Dr. Mark Rinkov, optometrist, founded Rinkov Eyecare Centers in 1977. In 2010, Rinkov's son, Jeff Rinkov, J.D., joined the company to help streamline processes and develop the business's growth strategy. In 2012, Rinkov Eyecare Centers opened its corporate headquarters, allowing it to operate a stand-alone support center and increase its support team from two full-time employees to nine full-time employees in less than one year.
