Group home resident charged in attempted abduction in Reynoldsburg

A 23-year-old resident of a group home on Bartlett Road in Reynoldsburg is in jail under $1 million bond for allegedly attempting to kidnap a 10-year-old girl from a school bus stop at Rosehill and Bartlett roads last week.

Reynoldsburg police charged Paul W. Stowell with first-degree felony kidnapping.

Stowell was arraigned in Franklin County Municipal court Oct. 25, where bond was set at $1 million. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 1.

He is being held at the Franklin County Correction Center.
