Reynoldsburg: Girl charged with inducing panic, unruly behavior

A 12-year-old girl was charged with unruly behavior and inducing panic about 3 p.m. July 27 after she ran away from her parents outside a business in the 2300 block of Taylor Park Drive.

The reporting officer said the parents told him the girl fled from the business after an argument and jumped the fence leading to Interstate 70.

Several Reynoldsburg and Pickerington police officers searched for the girl for more than an hour and found her sitting in the gravel next to a concrete barrier on I-70 near state Route 256, the officer said.

He said the girl was returned to her parents but had to be forcefully removed from the cruiser because she refused to go back to her parents' car.
