Reynoldsburg police have no suspects in a string of vandalisms that damaged more than 40 vehicles last week at an apartment complex off Taylor Road SW.
According to police reports, the vehicles were parked at the Creekside at Taylor Square complex on Banks Edge Way and at a nearby business.
The apartments are close to the Taylor Square Shopping Center and the I-70 interchange at state Route 256.
"The damages and reports were so numerous that it required the entire first shift over two and a half hours just to complete the initial reporting of the incidents," the police report said.
Some tires were slashed and a black marker was used to write obscenities on the trunks and doors of vehicles, police said.
The incidents occurred between 8 p.m. July 24 and 6:30 a.m. July 25 in the 2300 block of Madison Avenue; the 7900 and 8000 blocks of Tributary Lane; the 2400 block of Banks Edge Way; the 8000 block of Polk Path; the 2300 block of Bush Blvd. and the 8100 block of Adams Road.
Two vehicles were also damaged during those hours in the 8000 block of Fillmore Lane; the 8200 block of Clear Path Drive and at a nearby business in the 2600 block of Taylor Road Extension, police reported.
Sgt. Dave Bauchmoyer said Tuesday, Aug. 5, the incidents are still under investigation.
The damage estimates for each incident varied, he said; some depended on how many tires were slashed, for instance.
Bauchmoyer said a total damage amount had not yet been calculated, but individual estimates ranged from $89 to $229 on some of the reports.
