The Reynoldsburg Community Association has scheduled events for Buckeye fans, "breakfast" fans or pizza enthusiasts.
Organizer Chuck Cochran said the group will hold a Buckeye Breakfast Bash from 8 to 10 a.m. Sept. 6 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1200 Waggoner Road, in Reynoldsburg.
Breakfast will cost $5 per person, with no charge for children younger than 5.
"We will have live entertainment that morning, and door prizes, plus all you can eat pancakes," Cochran said.
Later that evening at 8 p.m., the Ohio State Buckeyes play Virginia Tech.
The RCA will hold another breakfast bash at the same time and place Nov. 29, the morning before the Buckeyes take on the Michigan Wolverines.
Cochran said the community will get another chance to support events such as the July 4 parade and the city's Halloween party at the "Pizzeria UNO Doughraiser" that occurs over four days, Sept. 18-21 at UNO Pizzeria and Grill, 1720 Hill Road N., in Pickerington.
"The restaurant will donate up to 20 percent of each check to our organization," Cochran said. "People could come in and pick up a coupon, which will be available at the door, and a portion of their check will be donated to us on any of those four days."
He said the coupons can be used for dine-in or take-out orders.
The Reynoldsburg Community Association was organized by a group of area residents in October 2007.
In addition to the July 4 parade and the Community Halloween Party, the group has sponsored Christmas on the Towne, Reynoldsburg Movie Night and the Community Spaghetti Dinner, and provided refreshments at the Christmas Tree Lighting.
