Reynoldsburg’s Zantt, Aideyman to play in college

Reynoldsburg High School seniors Aliyah Zantt and Adesuwa Aideyman signed letters of intent May 11 to play Division I women’s college basketball.

Zantt signed with Xavier and Aideyman signed with Cleveland State.

Zantt, a two-time ThisWeek Super 12 selection, averaged 11.1 points, 3.1 steals and 2.7 assists this past season. Aideyman averaged 10 points, but increased that to 15.7 during seven postseason games.

The Raiders lost to eventual Division I state champion Twinsburg 49-41 in a state semifinal to finish 26-1 overall.

Aideyman and Zantt played three varsity seasons for Reynoldsburg. In that time, the Raiders had a 70-9 record, won two outright OCC-Ohio Division titles, captured three Division I district championships and advanced to two Division I state semifinals.
