Against Lancaster, Jalen Weems rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns and Mecca Swain ran for 138 yards, including a 96-yard touchdown.

The Cruisers feature a pair of linemen who are Division I recruits in Dawuane Smoot (Illinois) and Durrell Wood (Ohio University).

The Raiders have continued to be a run-first offense, with Kumar Collins being the top weapon in recent weeks after battling injuries early in the season. Mykel Traylor-Bennett, an Ohio recruit, has been a consistent threat at wide receiver.

*Last week: Traylor-Bennett scored on a kickoff return (85 yards) and a punt return (59 yards) and had 153 total return yards and Collins (3 and 2 yards) and Nigel Easley (2 and 21 yards) each had two touchdown runs, as the Raiders led Newark 27-0 at halftime and 47-0 after the third quarter.

Collins rushed for 124 yards on 12 carries and Easley had 56 yards on eight carries.

Groveport was held to just 71 total yards and lost two fumbles against Pickerington Central.

Quarterback Austin Newman was 1-for-3 passing for 23 yards and a touchdown and the Cruisers managed just 39 yards rushing on 54 carries.
