Dublin Scioto senior Randy Languis earned his second-consecutive Division I district high school wrestling championship Saturday at Hilliard Darby. His teammate, Alex Gordon, took second.

The Irish finished 10th (50 points) behind champion Marysville (188.5). Dublin Coffman (38) was 16th and Dublin Jerome (4) was tied for 40th.

Languis (140 pounds, 46-4 overall), a two-time state placer who remains unbeaten in the postseason, pinned three opponents, including Marysville's Tyler Bass in the championship match.

Gordon (152, 34-4) went 3-1 after falling to Piqua's Kyle Bryant 16-5 in the finals.

Coffman, which went two seasons without producing a state qualifier, advanced sophomore Ryan Murdock (103, 35-7). He won three matches before losing to Pickerington North's Austin Marsico 3-2.

The Shamrocks had eight competitors at district.
