Capital plays host to a softball day camp, residential camp, mini-camp and also hitting and bunting clinics for girls entering grades 5-12. The day camp is from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 14-17 and the residential camp is from July 5-8. The Kirk Herbstreit Varsity Football Series is Sept. 5 and 6 at Ohio Stadium with doubleheaders taking place on both days. All four games will be televised live on ESPN or ESPNU.

On Sept. 5 Dublin Coffman plays Westerville South in the first game of the day and Huber Heights Wayne plays Canton McKinley in the second game. On Sept. 6 Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) William T. Dwyer plays Cleveland Glenville in the first game and Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Frommel Smith plays Pickerington Central in the second game. Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jay Bruce is holding the inaugural Jay Bruce Baseball Camp from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 19-21 at the facility at Prasco Park in Mason for boys and girls ages 6-14. Denison offers youth girls volleyball and basketball camps for girls ages 4-10.

The volleyball camp is from 1-4 p.m. on June 7-10. The basketball camp is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 14-17. Both camps teach fundamentals and are held at Livingston Gym.
