Westerville Central, Whitehall win COHSBC Roll-Off tourney
The Central Ohio High School Bowling Conference boys and girls tournaments were held Feb. 4 at Holiday Lanes.
In the boys tournament, Westerville South (3,580) finished first ahead of Jonathan Alder (3,450). Groveport’s Chris Lane earned Player of the Year honors.
In the girls tournament, Whitehall (3,287) edged Westerville Central (3,177) for the title. Westerville Central’s Mary Wells earned Player of the Year honors. Wells, who will bowl in college for Division II Central Missouri, was a sectional (574) and district (620) champion last season and placed third (630) at state a year ago.
Below are the final standings for the boys and girls tournaments.
The postseason begins with the sectional tournaments Feb. 17 and 18 at Eastland Lanes and Columbus Western Bowl. The boys compete on Feb. 17 and the girls compete Feb. 18.
