Lancaster at Gahanna Lincoln

Lancaster made a quarterback change after its loss to Pickerington North on Sept. 21 and the result was one of its best offensive games of the season in its win over Groveport on Sept. 28.

Alex Butsko, a sophomore who started five games at quarterback as a freshman, replaced Riley Theiss at the position against the Cruisers.

The Gales feature a run-oriented wing-T offense that also features a sophomore at running back in Jerry King as well as a senior in Andrew Shishler and a junior in Isaiah Dexter.

"(Lancaster's) defense is not bad," Lions coach John Snoad said. "They only lost to Pickerington Central by four points, so they're going to play very sound defense. I've seen them claw themselves back into games."

Gahanna had 332 total yards in its loss to Reynoldsburg and could get a boost with the expected return of Dante Carroll, who is expected to see action at running back and defensive back. He has been sidelined all season with an injury sustained during a preseason scrimmage.

•LAST WEEK — The Lions fell behind 14-7 in the second quarter when Reynoldsburg's Emmanuel Beal returned an interception thrown by Alec Tuohy 85 yards for a touchdown. The Raiders closed out the scoring in the fourth quarter.

Gahanna scored its only touchdown on a 44-yard reception from Tuohy to Kevin Randolph in the second quarter to tie the game at 7.

In addition to the interception, the Lions lost a fumble against the Raiders and Tuohy was sacked three times. Tuohy led the offense with 88 yards rushing on 17 carries and was 16-for-29 passing for 269 yards.
