Other than the fifth-place matches, the redesigned OCC girls tennis tournaments originally scheduled for Sept. 21 were postponed because of rain.
The eighth-place matches were to be played Sept. 25 and the rest are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28.
This year, the first-place teams in each of the four divisions will play one another to determine the overall league champion. The four second-place teams also will compete against one another, and so on.
Division standings were determined solely by seven league matches. In the past, teams also played a divisional tournament to determine the champion.
Matches on Saturday, Sept. 28, are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at six high schools around the area. Pairings are as follows:
First place, at Pickerington Central: Dublin Jerome, New Albany, Pickerington Central and Upper Arlington
Second place, at Gahanna: Dublin Coffman, Dublin Scioto, Gahanna and Olentangy Orange
Third place, at Reynoldsburg: Olentangy, Olentangy Liberty, Reynoldsburg and Westerville Central
Fourth place, at Hilliard Darby: Big Walnut, Hilliard Darby, Hilliard Davidson and Pickerington North
Sixth place, at Newark: Canal Winchester, Delaware, Marysville and Newark
Seventh place, at Grove City: Grove City, Mount Vernon, Westland and Westerville South
In the fifth-place tournament Sept. 21 at Hilliard Bradley, Thomas Worthington took first (17 points) ahead of Bradley (14), Lancaster (13) and Worthington Kilbourne (6).
