Grove City will look to improve to 2-1 in the OCC-Ohio when it visits Newark on Friday, Oct. 4.
The Dawgs improved to 2-3 overall with a 55-0 win over Groveport on Sept. 27.
Newark is 0-5 overall and 0-2 in the league.
Grove City coach Matt Jordan said his team can't overlook the Wildcats.
"Their quarterback (Grant Russell) is really good and they're big up front," he said.
Against Groveport, Corey Williams rushed for 97 yards on 12 carries. Cameron Meece completed four of five passes for 85 yards and one touchdown and rushed for 96 yards and one touchdown on 11 carries.
"It was a big win for us," Jordan said. "The Groveport kids played hard, but I thought our kids came out with the right mindset. It was a really good night for our kids and we needed it after two tough losses against Westerville South and Reynoldsburg."
For the season, Meece has completed 28 of 52 passes for 325 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions and rushed for 556 yards and eight scores on 90 carries. Williams has 325 yards and one score on 48 carries.
