Who is the greatest boys, girls basketball player in the ThisWeek Era?

Since the 1989-90 season, central Ohio has produced eight state championship teams in boys basketball and 15 in girls basketball. In addition, there have been numerous memorable individual performances.

In recognition of those achievements, ThisWeek Community News is putting together an “All-Time ThisWeek Basketball Team” for its sixth-annual summer series.

An honorable mention list of 35 boys and 35 girls begins the series and will be released July 3, followed by a third team July 10, a second team July 17 and a first team Aug. 7 with five players apiece.

On July 24, ThisWeek will recognize the top 10 girls basketball coaches of the past 25 seasons, with the top 10 boys basketball coaches being named July 31.

So who should be considered the greatest player of the ThisWeek era? It will come from these lists of past boys and girls Super 12 captains. Here is your chance to voice your opinion in the comments below or on the polls to the right.
