The Mid-West Chinese Science and Culture Association and the Ohio State University Chinese Student and Scholars Society will co-sponsor a benefit concert for the victims of the Sichuan earthquake at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the Upper Arlington Library, 2800 Tremont Road.

The Mid-West Chinese Science and Culture Association and the Ohio State University Chinese Student and Scholars Society will co-sponsor a benefit concert for the victims of the Sichuan earthquake at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the Upper Arlington Library, 2800 Tremont Road.

Performing on the concert will be the Lyric Harp Duo--Jude Mollenhauer and Yan Ni--with Wei You, violinist, and Pei-An Chao, cellist, both of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.

Compositions by Bach, Beethoven and Debussy, among others, will join traditional Chinese folk music on the program.

Admission is free, but donations are requested.

The Recruit Military Career Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Columbus Crew Stadium, One Black & Gold Blvd.

The event is designed to help recently returning troops and other veterans find employment. A number of national, regional and local employers will attend.

The event is free.

The 2008 Greater Conehead Golf Classic will be held May 31 at the Dublin Golf Club.

The event will have a 2 p.m. shotgun start.

Fees are $175 for individuals; $700 for a foursome; $75 for the party only; $50 for a guest; $300 for a hole sponsor. The field is limited to the first 120 golfers.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Wellness Community of Columbus.
