Wittenberg senior Suzanne Medwid, an Upper Arlington graduate, was named the NCAC Offensive Player of the Year in women's soccer. Medwid, who makes her fourth consecutive appearance on the All-NCAC team, scored three goals and added seven assists for the second-place Tigers. Wittenberg won its third straight NCAC Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Division III tournament. Medwid finished her career with 13 goals and 17 assists for 43 points in 86 games. She earned her third straight first-team honor after receiving a second team nod as a freshman in 2005.

Ohio Wesleyan softball coaches and players will have a clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 6 for girls in grades 5-12 focusing on defense and baserunning. Registration is limited to 50 participants.

Ohio Wesleyan sophomore Alexa Bean, an Upper Arlington graduate, was named second-team all-NCAC in volleyball. Bean, an outside hitter, led Ohio Wesleyan with 220 kills, averaged 2.34 kills per game and was second on the team in digs with 345.

The Greater Columbus Swim Team of Ohio is offering health and fitness programs. Classes include aerobics, spinning, water exercise, lap swimming, weight training, cardio training, yoga, swimming lessons and more. They are being offered out of the Concourse Spa and Fitness Club near the airport.

There are family-oriented classes for those who wish to exercise with other family members (adults or youth). Morning, afternoon and evening classes are available. There is a teen swim fit program operating at the program's CCDE aquatic facility in Westerville as well as an adult masters swim team at that location. The next session of classes begins shortly.
